Estudio Le Pera traces its roots back to Le Pera & Lessa Abogados, which I joined in 1992 at its inception. My journey began in the litigation and arbitration department under the guidance of my father, Sergio Le Pera, an extraordinary attorney known for his extensive transactional and litigation experience. His remarkable achievements include becoming Argentina’s first member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in 1986 and receiving the Platinum Konex Prize for Commercial Law in 1996.
In just a few years, Le Pera & Lessa Abogados established itself as one of Argentina's leading law firms, specializing in international transactions and alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration on both domestic and international fronts. By the age of 24, I had started my legal career, collaborating with my father on complex, high-profile cases involving cross-border issues.
Our firm proudly represented a diverse array of clients, including Boldt S.A., Bridas Corporation, Compañía General de Combustibles, S.A., Fratelli Branca Destilerias S.A., the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Pan American Energy L.L.C., Sociedad Comercial del Plata S.A., The Washington Post, Tuv Rheinland Argentina S.A., and Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
After several fruitful years in the litigation department, I transitioned to the corporate division, where I worked alongside Pedro Lessa, a distinguished transactional lawyer. Our corporate team managed a wide spectrum of services, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial contracts, corporate restructuring, foreign investment regulations, joint ventures, trusts, private equity, and venture capital. I remained in this area until the partners chose to retire.
Following their retirement, I sought new challenges in the aviation industry, dedicating nearly eighteen years to Aerolíneas Argentinas, where I advised top management on local and international aviation regulations. My experience as a captain deepened my understanding of labor-management dynamics, business economics, and practical aviation regulations. Concurrently, I provided contract advisory services to entrepreneurs and individuals, assisting them in creating and managing private trust structures.
Through my years of personalized counseling, I recognized the unique advantages of a boutique practice. My goal is to emphasize the traditional core values and best practices of a dedicated and personalized legal counseling. I believe in the importance of building a strong, trusting relationship with my clients, providing them with tailored guidance that addresses their unique needs. By focusing on individualized attention and responsiveness, I aim to deliver exceptional legal services that reflect my commitment to understanding and meeting the specific requirements of each client.
